Catherine Bruyere, Bruxelles (Belgium)
1984 in Brussels, Belgium.
I graduated in Law from the UCL university, Louvain-La-Neuve, in 2007 with a specialisation in medical law and Liability Law.
Due to a great interest about Insurance Law, I decided to follow my studies and started a complementary master in Insurance Law and Economic Law at the ULB University, Brussels, and graduated in 2008.
I immediately started as a lawyer in 2008, I worked as an intern in a law firm specialized in Insurance law, traffic/road law and Liability Law. I passed the Brussels Bar to be part of the French speaking Brussels Bar in 2012.
I’m a strong believer in mediation as an alternative mode of conflict resolution. Thinking that in a very near future, mediation or collaborative lawyer will help to solve a lot of conflicts, I’m a certified mediator in civil, economic and social law. I’ve also signed the collaborative law chart of the Brussels Bar and try to use the nonviolent communication.
